ZoomInfo Agent Teams Shows the Cost Estimate Before the Agents Run
ZoomInfo’s new Agent Teams puts a cost estimate in front of the buyer before a team of AI agents is activated, which is the opposite of how most agent spend has been showing up. CEO Henry Schuck introduced the product as a multi-agent orchestration capability inside GTM Studio, built on the DoubleO.ai acquisition, that coordinates agents across lead qualification, enrichment, routing and outreach.
The agents share context across steps and adapt to the current state of an account instead of following fixed workflows. Pre-built templates cover inbound lead activation, outbound prospecting, closed-won handoffs and competitor acceleration, and the product integrates with Salesforce, HubSpot, SalesLoft and Outreach. Governance comes bundled: monitoring dashboards, role-based access controls and cost visibility through AI Credits, which are billed against an existing ZoomInfo contract.
That last detail matters because agent costs are becoming a line item that surprises people. Jason Lemkin reported that SaaStr, which runs with three humans and more than 21 AI agents, received an estimate of about $240,000 a year for continued agent API access, from vendors that never metered those calls before. Its agent, 10K, makes roughly 35,000 to 40,000 API calls a day.
For sales leaders, the buying question shifts from whether an agent can run a motion to whether its spend is predictable before it runs. Three checks follow from the ZoomInfo design: can you see the estimate before activation, can you cap or monitor consumption while it runs, and can you restrict which agents touch which systems. A vendor that cannot answer all three is asking you to find out the bill after the pipeline motion has already shipped.
